THE HUNGARIAN GRAND PRIX - LEWIS AND BOTTAS MADE IT P.1 AND 2, AS MAX CAME IN AT P.3.

So, A Very Big Congratulations to Team Mercedes and Hamilton and  Bottas, for achieving P.1 and 2, in Saturday's Qualifying  session of the Formula 1 2021 Hungarian Grand Prix, and to Team Red Bull and Max Verstappen, for making it to P.3.

It is great to see that Max has not lost any of his racing courage and verve, after his unfortunate but spectacular and premature exit from the last Grand Prix, the British Grand Prix at the Silverstone Circuit.

Indeed, Max's pace during Q.2 recalled his and Team Red Bull's dominance prior and upto his misfortune at Silverstone.

With Lewis having achieved his Pole during the first lap of Q.3, it is a further reinforcement of the principle that you should never bank on your last lap during Qualifying being your winning lap.

You just never known what will happen, such as whether the session might have to be prematurely ended due to some mishap. So, the aim should be to make your first or second lap be the best.

While Hamilton and Bottas and Team Mercedes seem, on the basis of their pace during Q.3 of the Hungarian Grand Prix, to have or be regaining their competitive pace with Max and Team Red Bull.

What might be just as significant, is the appearance of the beginning of the return of fierce, but calm and 'respectful' rivalry and  competition between Max and Red Bull, on the one hand, and Lewis and Team Mercedes on the other.

Taking the position of the optimist, this is the message I have chosen to draw from observing Max and Lewis fist-pumping at the end of qualifying.

It would be very instructive for them to prove the pessimists and sustainers of 'controversy' and negativety wrong.

So, shall we now look forward to the 2021 Hungarian Grand Prix, to see how it will evolve from start to finish, with the race probably being decided by the outcome of the 600 metres between the Starting Grid and the first corner.

We can expect  an epic dash off the grid, with the racers with the best start having the advantage. Although Lewis is on Pole, that advantage can only serve him if he gets the best or a very good start.

If Bottas or Max, or, indeed, even a racer further back, gets a better start than the 'Poleist' himself, then, the lead could be lost.

Which would not necessarily mean that Hamilton could or will not win the race. Providing Car 44 remain race-worthy.

Which is why it is of the utmost importance that all the competitors endeavour to keep it safe for the duration of the race.

So, racers, go racing, hard but safely, and make it an enjoyable experience for yourselves, your teams and those of us watching you.
