It is probably not going to invest in the education of its young people, of both genders, but especially women.  

In comparison to other religiously backward, but intellectually advanced Islamic countries. Such as Iran, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, et al, have done, in order to not be left behind in.

Yes, the Taliban government is never going to be an advocate of essential human rights. 

The right of Afghans to decide for themselves whether the want to worship, or to be defined as 'Muslim.' 

To decide for themselves whether they want to go to Friday Prayers or to pray five times a day. 

Of course it is not exceptional in this respect; as the people of Iran, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, et al, are also expected to attend prayers and worship within the requirements of applicable religious laws. 




Whether or not they really believe and want to worship. 

The kind of burden which causes most of us who are living in more enlightened countries which have successfully thrown off the religious yoke, to feel truly blessed.

No, the Taliban, as it is currently believed to will never be in the vanguard of people fighting for the rights of women, of females not to be held ransom or hostage to the more misogynistic interpretation of Islam. 

Of the pre-Islamic customs, traditions and cultures which were, like other religions, incorporated into Islam.

It is not surprising that they, the Taliban, are not going to be the force that leads the Afghans to the promised land of peace, advanced development and prosperity.
