AN ENIGMATIC AND POIGNANT JOURNEY AROUND MY AGEING AND EVOLVING MOTHER! PART 137.

 

A situation which  can appear worse than it actually is, due to her noticeably apparent increased difficulty in concentrating and hearing what is being said to her. 

Whether it is the case that she is having more difficulty in hearing, because she is finding it more difficult to listen and concentrate and process what is being said to her, I do not know. 

And then there is her tendency to stop talking while she is on the phone, which can be abit alarming, as it is not clear whether it is because she has nodded off, or has taken her final breath. 

It is at times like these when it is reassuring to be able, with the use of modern technology, to have a look in on her from a far.

It seems that more often than not, my dear mother's non-human interactions or preoccupations are restricted to her head. 

With her apparently thinking, but about what? I am conflicted about her ability to think, to acquire information and process it and logically display it. 

I have to acknowledge that I am at somewhat of a loss to ascertain what is going on in my mother's head most of the time. 

I will speak to her; ask her a question, and not only is she more often than not, seems to be struggling with understanding the question. 

Never mind to answer the question. I mean, most recently, I read her some of Ezekiel.  That Biblical mystic soothsayer who, it seems to me, from reading the first chapters of the 'Book of Ezekiel.' 

Must have been definitely on LSD or some such hallucinatory drugs, when came up with his vision of 4 winged, four legged and four handed hybrid animals.
