THE MEXICAN GRAND PRIX - MAX AND RED BULL BACK TO NORM WITH A P.1 AND P.3, AS HAMILTON DUG DEEP FOR P.2.

A Very Big Congratulations to Max Verstappen, Sergio Perez and Team Red Bull for winning and coming Third in the 2021 Formula 1 Mexican Grand Prix, and to Lewis Hamilton and Team Mercedes for making it to a much deserved P.2 on Sunday 7th November 2021.

And a Very Big Thank You to all the racers who participated in the race and contributed towards the entertainment.

In what was a very exciting race, probably one of the most thrilling aspect was whether or not Hamilton would be able to maintain his lead over the raging Red Bull of Sergio Perez.

Whose Team delegated task it was to chase down the 7 times Formula 1 World Champion, not for the last one or two laps, but for over 10 laps.

With the faster pace of the raging Red Bull, this was no easy challenge for the Mighty Hamilton and his inferior Car 44, as Max stayed out of Hamilton's sight in the lead, and the giant shadow of Perez' car threatened to consume and overtake Car 44.

But it was not to be; not on this occasion, as Hamilton deployed all of his racing skills and experience, maintained his calm and converted any anxieties which he harboured into positive energy.

And, with the commensurate strategic support from Team Mercedes, and faithfulness of Car 44, was able to maintain his P.2 position and brought it home just over a second before Perez.

It was no surprise that Max Verstappen would or was able to breeze past his two Mercedean Podiumites and took the lead from Valtteri Bottas.

This was what was foretold in the consistently faster pace of the Red Bull cars during the Practice and Qualifying sessions of the Grand Prix.

The fact that Bottas made it to Pole and Hamilton to P.2, was no more than an apparition.

Even if Hamilton had retained his position and Bottas had not been cruelly spun-around by Daniel Ricciardo, it would have been only a matter of time before they would have been overtaken by Max.

They did not have the pace to fend off the baying Red Bull for 71 laps. This much was written in the stars, as it were.

The outcome of the race is that Max has now further consolidate his lead in the Championship by adding another 6 points to it.

And, as if that is not enough, Red Bull has now also reduced Team Mercedes' lead in the Constructors Championship to a paltry 1 point.

The challenge for Hamilton and Team Mercedes, now, is this: While it is possible for Hamilton to accumulate a 20 points more than Verstappen, in the next 4 Grand Prix, is it likely that Team Mercedes will achieve it?

It seems a very tall order, if we rule out Max suffering a DNF or Team Red suffering, for whatever reason/s, performance problems with adversely impact their pace and reliability.

All of which are possible eventualities which could also befall Hamilton and Team Mercedes.

And this is why, as the Championships, both Drivers and Constructors, stand at present, Max Verstappen and Team Red Bull are in an unassailable lead.

It is likely that, depending on Team Mercedes and Hamilton and Bottas' achievements in the Brazilian Grand Prix, and ruling out the interventions of the Gods in the subsequent 3 remaining races.

We will have confirmation of which racer will 'competitively' win the Formula 1 2021 Drivers World Championship.
