AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX : TEAM MERCEDES ADVANCES AS TEAM FERARRI NAILED IT AND TEAM RED BULL SPLUTTERED!! PART 1.

A Big Thank You to the Formula 1 establishment for providing me with a very enjoyable Grand Prix on Sunday 10th April 2022, by way of the Australian 2022 Grand Prix.

Normally I would have been at home and waking up early in the morning, living on the other side of the world, as it were, to feast on several hours live Formula 1 car racing.

But it was not to be the usual on this occasion. I knew that I would be away from home and not be able to watch the race live, as it were.

So I opted to record it, with the intention of not watching any news about it and watching the recording as soon as I returned home on Sunday.

I had not counted on the regular exchange of Sunday morning texts between a friend and me.

So, imagine my chagrin or worry when, even before I made the return journey home, said friend text me to say how badly my "boys had done in the race."

My 'boys", of course, being the current Mercedes' racers, Hamilton and Russell.

I did not want to know the outcome of the race before having the opportunity to watch it, and yet, I was perplexed by the perplexing text from my friend. What could it mean?

Did it mean that Hamilton and Russell did very badly during the race; probably that they even did not finished it?

In the end, I opted to 'reassure' myself by preparing for the worse, as I returned home and, lap by lap, watched the 58 laps of the Grand Prix.

So, how really pleased I am, that, far from having a terrible race, Team Mercedes, embodied by their racers, Lewis Hamilton and George Russell.

Have made seemingly significant and substantial advances in putting themselves back at the front of the 2022 Championship battle.

Yes, Team Mercedes was only able to equip their racers to make it to P.3 and P.4, with Russell being blessed with the Podium spot.

But it represents a big advance in getting their cars to perform competitively.

So, A Very Big Congratulations to Team Mercedes and RussellAnd a Bigger Congratulation to Charles Leclerc and Team Ferrari for driving a brilliant race to win their second Grand Prix of the season, and to Sergio Perez and Team Red Bull, for achieving P.2 position.

To be continued!
