JUST PHILOSOPHISING ON - RUSSIA'S INVASION OF AND ATTEMPT TO SUBJUGATE UKRAINE AND ITS PEOPLE. PART 9.

 

'A war-time leader is not necessarily, indeed, if ever a suitable peace-time leader, especially when he/she had been 'morally' and, arguably, militarily defeated on the battle-field. This being so, Russia can only regain its rightful place among enlightened societies with President Putin's removal from power.'

But it has, I believe, the desire of probably the majority of well-intentioned people to see our species move away from our addiction to torture and kill our fellow humans in large numbers. 

It should take a lot of threat, a lot of provocation and actual damage being done to one nation for it to simple invade another country and unleash the destructive forces of Hell on that country and its people. 

At least, that should be the case when we are dealing with rational leaders and people. 

It is the case that we have seen this kind of mindless deployment of violence and destruction before, Russia invaded Ukraine. 

We has seen it in World War Two, we have seen it more recently in the Balkans War which resulted in the dissolution of Yugoslavia, and we have seen it in Iraq, in Syria,  and in Libya. 

But, in order to quieten what are probably our most evolved intellectual attributes, our conscience and our ability to empathise with other, the leaders involved in those conflicts had to find the necessary rationale and propaganda to  manipulate the people. 

Of course, whereas the West used propaganda and lies about weapons of mass destruction, and persistent talk of 'freedom and democracy.' 

To create its rationale and convince its law makers into providing its leaders with the 'legal figleaf' to make war on Iraq, Syria and Libya. 

President Putin completely disrespected the Russian people by excluding them from having any participation in his planned invasion of Ukraine. 

At least, any participation other than that of providing the initially innocent men and women to do the fighting and dying.

It seems to me that you have to assume the status of a 'non-contemporary human' to unleash the kind of war which President Putin's headed government has unleashed on Russian and Ukrainian people. 

How else could a 'normal 21st Century' human prosecute such a destruction ware; one which is clearly intended at 'grabbing more land, without or without its people and former existing infra-structures?
