Something which was much in evidence in Barcelona, as we saw the high anxiety of Verstappen, when he was repeatedly confronted with his car's DRS problem. 

While Leclerc, for atleast the second time in the season, failed to deliver the win he had been expected to achieve.

I seen reports citing Fernando Alonso saying that 'it is about the car and not the driver, or, rather, I think he is arguing, the 'special skills of the racer.'

Well, it is very likely that when you have cars of similar performance and racers of similar or equal racing skills and competence. 

The comparative success of each of them can be attributed to factors such as luck/bad luck, racing strategy, consistency/inconsistency of performance, and racing acumen.

So, now that Hamilton's car has been brought upto this level of performance, we should be seeing Hamilton deploying his considerable his racing acumen to begin winning races again. 

And who knows; probably 'hammering' his way up the Drivers' Championship table.  




In much the same way as he often promotes himself from the lower end of the pack up towards the front of it. 

For now, we must wait to see what Team Mercedes and Hamilton and Russell will achieve at the Monaco Grand Prix, which, for all intents and purpose, should really be seen as the beginning or start of Team Mercedes 2022 Formula 1 Grand Prix season. I cannot wait; can you?

And now, all that is left for me to do, is to say A Very Big Congratulation to Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez and Team Red Bull, for making it to P.1 and P.2, and to George Russell and Team Mercedes for making it to P.3, in the Spanish Grand Prix.

Congratulations also all the other racers who participated in the race and help to provide your fans and other spectators with an entertaining and enjoyable racing event.

Let us wait and see, should all things be favourable with the performance and reliability of both Mercedes' cars.
