THE ITALIAN GRAND PRIX - A RESETTING IN PROGRESS AS TEAM RED BULL AND FERRARI HOLD ONTO THE REINS! PART 1

 

So, well might it be said that we, the inhabitants of Planet Earth, are living in different times today. It was only a matter of a few months ago, say probably the beginning of 2022, when we knew where we stand. 

We had a certain amount of security about what is likely to happen and what is unlikely to happen. 

We could predict that, though bad things could happen, they were unlikely to happen. 

Why? Because we, us humans, have come to believe that we have achieved and were living in 'the Age of Reason.' 

That we have become rational and enlightened humans. That we would not 'destroy our world in order to save it.' 

That pyrrhic act is not one which is popular amongst our species. 

We believed that the time when the guardians of 'western democracy, liberalism and much vaunted  civilization' would terrify the people of the West with the then dreaded refrain - "the Russians are Coming", had long been put to rest for the past 3 or so decades.

The more astute amongst us were aware of the erosion in this sense of security. It was not a matter of it being 'a sense of false security'. 

Although it had been a fact that the communication between the Russian Federation and the 'West' had become frosty for the past two or so decades.  

With the West having imposed and maintained economic and political sanctions against Russia for geo-political infringements such as its annexation of Crimea. 

And although the two blocs did not see eye-eye, as it were, over the Balkan Wars of the 1990, or achieved consensus over the prosecution of the Syrian Proxy War. 

They were able to attend the relevant regional and international debating forums and sit down and talk to each other.

All of this was happening, until Russia invaded the sovereign state of Ukraine and engage in a bloody and massively destructive 'land grabbing war' with Ukraine. 

A war which has now, initially slowly, but then rapidly evolved or morphed into a de facto War between Russia and primarily Nato and the European nations of the West.
