BRITISH GRAND PRIX - WON BY CARLOS SAINZ AND FERRARI, BUT MERCEDES AND HAMILTON ARE BACK...!!!!!

A Very Big Congratulation to Carlos Sainz and Team Ferrari, for having triumph by winning the British Grand Prix at Silverstone Circuit on Sunday 3rd July 2022, and to Sergio Perez and Team Red Bull, for making it to P.2.

In what was a most exciting and thrilling grand prix, arguably the most adrenalised Formula 1 race of the 2022 season so far, probably the most significant outcome of the race was what it said about Team Mercedes and their racers.

While George Russell had the misfortune of suffering a dnf during an explosive first lap of the race.

One which saw Zhou Guanyu's Alfa Romero's flipped over on its back and spun wildly towards the circuit barrier and flipped over it before coming to rest.

All because of the manic and collision strewn first lap. It was undoubtedly a thrilling race, but there was always the feeling that anything could happen, and sometimes it did.

With the race having to be restarted after having been Red Flagged as those in charge went about recovering Zhou's and Russell's cars and made sure the the former had the necessary medical attention he required.

It was also a race that Hamilton could have won, had the gods not intervened as much as they did, including fating a Safety Car coming out during the last dozen or so laps of the race.

It was not a race which lent itself to the race strategists as much as it provided opportunities for teams and racers to benefit opportunistically.

Which is why Hamilton making it to P.3, when he might have made it to P.1, had it not for the interventions, still, somehow, seems like 'a win', and a big one at that.

So, to Hamilton and Team Mercedes, A Very Big Congratulation for your sterling performance in winning your P.3 position.

The message it will have sent to Team Mercedes and Hamilton's fans in particular, is that, expecting or anticipating them to win the pending Austrian Grand Prix is quite, if not very doable!

With all the spectacular events of the British Grand Prix, the fact that nobody suffered any physical harm has made it even more enjoyable.

And now, as we contemplate the yet to be realised outcomes of the Austrian Grand Prix.

Let me say, A Very Big Thank You to all the racers and teams that participated in the 2022 British Grand Prix, and contributed toward making it into the thrilling event it was.
