JUST A THOUGHT ON THE SECRETARY GENERAL'S MISSED OPPORTUNITY.

  So, considering how the current Secretary General has missed the grand opportunity to put the case for the continuation of the ' Commonwealth of nations', at the recent funeral of the late British Queen, has seen not been guilty of a gross dereliction of her duty to that organisation 🤔

It am of the firm opinion that was, and probably still is. I mean, considering that many member nations of the Commonwealth are currently thinking of whether their best interests are still predicated upon them remaining in the organisation, or in them leaving it and pursuing different paths. 

The Secretary General could not have asked for a better opportunity than the funeral of the late Monarch to make a concise but powerful statement to the world, about the continuing relevance of the Commonwealth, and why the Monarchy should continue to support it. 

Unless, of course, the Secretary General, a) does not believe that it continues relevant, or b) she is being negligently complacent. Both of which are equally pernicious.

It is my opinion that the Secretary General should have given priority to her role as a politician and the operational head of the Commonwealth, and restated the case for its continuance and the support of the new Monarch.

She should have left the religious hocus pocus and piety to the men and women of the cloth, the clergy, to indulge their religious deceptions. 

Including those about life continuing after death and the dead being raised. All of which I consider to be unbecoming beliefs for reasonable and intelligent people to be having and professing as if they are credible.

Anf so it is that, in preoccupying or giving her attention to mundane and fallacious superstition, Madame Secretary General has neglected the issues and things that really matters.

   It is unlikely that things were ever getting better.
