THE RUSSIA-UKRAINE WAR: WHY IS NATO RESOLVED TO LIMIT ITSELF TO BEING UKRAINE'S ARMOURER? PART 1.

 

Russia, under the stewardship of  its previously seeming rational and prudent President Vladimir Putin, has launched a massive blitzkrieg attack on its neighbour, Ukraine, in February 2022, calling it a "Special Military Operation. 

Of course, such was the intensive and extensive nature of the attack, which is still on-going, that it is noting short of Russia declaring war on Ukraine. 

To call it anything else has to be considered as abject  and transparent attempt to deceive people - all the people - about the true nature of the President's objectives, and the means by which he hoped to achieve them.

As we can deduce 230 days after this tragic and apparently unnecessary and, on Russia's part, catastrophically planned and prosecuted war began, Russia has failed to achieve and secured its objectives in Ukraine. 

While it has, upto the beginning of September, captured enormous areas of Ukraine, having suffered substantial fatalities and other losses amongst its military in the early weeks of the war. 

Since September it has been reeling and seemingly unable to put up any credible defence against Ukraine's NATO resourced counter-offensive. 

Even though the Russian military had advanced notice of Ukraine's planned current offensive, it has not been able to deflect or affectively prepared for it. 

With Ukrainian civilians in the towns and other settlements captured and occupied by the Russians, having paid a heavy price in deaths and injuries, in the earlier phase of the invasion. 

The war has subsequently metamorphosed into one of mostly large-scale destruction of human habitations and other properties, and comparatively a small number of civilians.
