JUST PHILOSOPHISING - ON WHICH 'FREEDOMS' ARE OF GREATER IMPORTANCE. PART 11.

But this basic fact has not stopped some Muslims from putting forward the argument of 'respect for people's religious beliefs.'  As one of their reasons for why human rights consideration should not take precedence over difference to religious beliefs. Of course, making fun of aspects of ones religion, of any religion, does not, of itself, ipso facto, if you will, mean that you or me does not respect that religion.  One might not agree with all of it or everything proclaimed in its name, just as Christians do not necessarily believe in everything the Bible says.  Criticising or making fun of something does not mean not respecting it.  People make fun of and criticise each other, but that does not mean that they do not respect each other. It means that they are human and can see the funny side of things.  Islam needs to develop, evolve this level of intellectual and social maturity. To be continued!

But rather because of the admirable courage, calmness and competence he showed in escaping the inferno.  In doing what was necessary, what was essential for him to save his own life.  Because Grosjean did not survive that horrendous accident because of the bravery of the medical team and the race marshals.  Even though his survival was clearly assisted by their action.  Instead, Grosjean owed his survival to his own actions in getting out of that inferno as fast as he did.  None of the medical team nor the marshals appeared to have had on clothing that would have enabled them to go into the inferno that raged in and around Grojean's car.  Consequently, his survival was dependent on him being able to and extricate himself from his car.  Yes, if he had been knocked unconscious, he would not have survived, or it is unlikely that he would have.  Yes, if the Halo had not been installed on Formula 1 racing cars.  Then it is very probable, if not certain, that Grojean would have probabl

The most memorably and happiest aspect of Sunday's 2020 Bahrain Grand Prix, for many if not all us.  Was the incredible escape of Grojean Romain's escape from the flames of Hell, as his car burst into an inferno and was totally engulfed. As we all looked on with great alarm and suspended breathing.  Grojean, like Daniel escaping from the jaws of the lions in their den, and of his own accord.  Freed himself from the burning wreckage of his his Formula 1 racing car, and eased himself out of it.  Before making his way through the flames of Hell, and then painfully heaved himself up onto the top of the metal barrier which his car had gone through. Only then could he jumped to the safety of ground below. With the helping hand of one of the medical team that had quickly made their way to the scene of the wreck.  This incident occurred in the first lap of the race; in, during the very early start of it. It was only fitting that Romain should have been made the Driver of the Race.  N

AN ENIGMATIC AND POIGNANT JOURNEY AROUND MY AGEING AND EVOLVING MOTHER! PART 101.

Image
My dear mother displays no desire to indulge in a little extravagance. It has been quite sometime since she asks me to secure some of her favourite brandy.  Not for her the urge to spend, spend and even spend some more. To be bold, to daring and devil may care and spend a bit more on having a bit of luxury.  No, not for her. My dear mother has no desire for new material objects; to spend on what she sees as wasting money.  Of course, coming from a background of scarcity and having to work hard for her living, whatever the weather.  I can understand the reasoning for her being so. Especially when, being in her present mind and position in space and time, my dear mother might be feeling that she has had it all already.  That her appetite  is simply not as expansive as it once were, and that she simply does not have the desire for something new, something different.  That all she really wants to do now, is to focus, even minutely, on the lighter shade of pale walls that surrounds her.

IT WAS WRITTEN IN THE STARS - AN ACCOUNT OF LIVES IMPACTED BY 'EVERYDAY ADVERSITIES.' PART 69.

What we recall of our experiences of the past, tends to be a factor of how they impacted on our senses at the time, the strength of our continuing attachment to those experiences.   And the extent to which we have succeeded in assimilating them into our subsequent experiences and move on with our lives.' Because, although he was now a free man, Kazaliza's freedom was conditional.  It was conditional him keeping his nose out of trouble.  On him not breaching his licence, at any time for the next 8 years it would be operative.  This was the only way he would be able to hold onto his freedom.   And avoided the long arm of the criminal justice system stretching forth from out there, somewhere.   And pulling him back to a place of greater restriction than he was now re-entering on his release. In this respect, he did not only have power over his own liberty and happiness, but also over that of his parents and brother.  That was a very weighty burden. And only time would tell or pr

And, when you enjoy doing something, the chances are that your motivation is enhanced and with an enhanced motivation, you tend to increase your achievement.  All of which are things, feelings which Lewis Hamilton and Team Mercedes are living. Love of what you do extracts greater effort from you and greater effort applied smartly, increases you chances of having more successes.  Thus has Hamilton, driven by Team Mercedes, made it to Pole at the Qualifying session of the Bahrain Grand Prix.  Thus did Valtteri Bottas made it to P.2 and Max Verstappen and Team Red Bull made it to P.3, with his colleague, the embattled and pressured Alex Albon, making it to P.4. So, a Big Congratulations to you, Hamilton, on your 98th Pole, and to you  Bottas and Verstappen, for sharing the Qualifying Podium.   It helps when you are enjoying the job you do, but it is even better when doing the job you enjoy doing. As Lewis Hamilton said after taking Pole in the 2020 Bahrain Grand Prix Qualifying session today, Saturday, it is good to enjoy what you do.  You or I could also add that, it is even better to be blessed by doing something that you enjoy, which is not the case for many people. Now there are certain occupation, such as, probably, being a soldier during times of conflict or war, or being an abattoir worker, or making weapons.  For which a person might declare their unease or even dislike.  For people employed in such occupations, it might seem morally repugnant for them to speak of how happy or how much they enjoy their work.  More likely, we would or might expect them to declare how somebody has to do it.   And how it is a matter of necessity, such as them having opted to do it, because of the opportunity it gives them to make a living, like other people. Not so with being a racing
