DONALD TRUMP, RODRIGO DUTERTE, TAMER, BREXIT, ET AL, WILL NOT BRING AN END TO HUMAN PROGRESS!

What we can understandably fear from the incoming Donald Trump/Republicon administration, is the fact that it is going to cause some major - though not all permanent - upheavals nationally and internationally. There is going to be some trade wars, and there are going to be some international relations war. The Russians might be feeling hopeful that a Trump Presidency will relieve some of the tensions in Russo/American relations, and on the Russian/Nato borders. 

However, even if that were to happen, and Trump enter into an adult/adult alliance with the Americans in the fight against the rebels in Syria, the Israeli/Palestinian conflict could become more difficult, if Trump were to more aggressively and support the oppressive Israeli government policy towards the Palestinians.

Trump is, of course, primarily a businessman, a business mogul turn politician, and not a politician turn business mogul or oligarch. This could mean that he could find himself being taken hostage by his Republicon Party colleagues, who would use the election victory he has provided them with, to achieve their own goals. Such as repealing Obamacare, rolling back on the implementation of the Iran nuclear agreement, scrapping America's consent to the climate change agreement, et al, et al.

So, yes, there is likely to be some rough and very rough times ahead for alot of people and countries, even if not for all of them at the same time. But, guess what? Trumpism might not last for more that 4 years, or, at worse, 8 years, after which time another administration will take office and spend the next 4 or 8 years beginning to undo the excesses of Trumpist/Republicon vandals.

The challenge for the Democrats in America, is to organise themselves to robustly try to effectively delay, if not prevent Trumpist/Republicon's excesses, and to equip themselves to fight a successful presidential election in 2020. Just as how Britain's Labour Party needs to  do.

If the Americans and the world are fortunate, the Trump Administration might collapse under its own contradictions and in-fighting, before his Presidential term is completed.
