JUST PHILOSOPHISING - ON FOCUSING ON THE GOOD DAYS TO LIVE..

The thoughts of dying and death are likely to be experienced by every sentient human.  

Just as how the reality of dying and death, the latter probably only momentarily, must be experienced by all living beings, depending on their level of perception.

So what should we make of such 'warrior-associated' sayings like, 'it is a good day to die'? Which might be an acknowledgement of the inevitability or certainty of all living beings dying. 

And could then lead on to people having come to terms - not that it matters much when destiny beckons - with the certainty of their dying, and wanting to determine or influence the timing of their/our death

Of course, probably even more helpful than being able to choose the day of ones dying and death, would be that of choosing the means of ones demise. 

Something which is only open to most people by way of them choosing to commit what has come to be known as 'suicide.' An act of ultimate self-determination, if you like. 

Although it could or might be argued that, people who take their own lives do so for various reasons. Reasons of anger, such as when a person kill others and then kill themselves. 

Or when a person, in a state of acute distraught or trauma, resolve to kill him/herself, usually himself.

Now, it is arguable that, probably the main reason why a person would want to choose and execute the opportune self-determined time and means of his/her demise. 

Is because he/she is experiencing and/or expecting to experience at some future time, a life or living worse than death.

So, rather than focusing on when is 'a good day to die', and although it is the case that, the older a person gets, the less accessible they might find 'desirable means' with which to assist their transition to destiny. 

Endeavour to set your focus on identifying, living and appreciating when 'it is a good day to live your/our time-limited lives. 

Destiny lasts an infinite eternity; the lives and living of us humans do not, so strive to live the time you are designated as best and as enjoyably as you can.
