JUST PHILOSOPHISING - ON THE CASE FOR HAVING CHILDREN! PART 3.

We have evolved and developed more sophisticated childhoods and social policies which promote the having of children. 

At the same time that the 'religious' and evolutionary reinforcers and prerogatives have loosened some of their hold. 

Although men and women having sexual intercourse with each other is still the most common method of having children and maintaining the human species. 

It is not necessary for all a couple, in the form of a man and a women, to have sex in order for the woman to become pregnant. 

A woman, providing she has the money, can now have the option of buying another woman's egg, having it fertilized, and inserted into her womb where it can develop. Indeed, it is now possible to clone our species. 

So, in a nutshell, it is no longer necessary for every woman to become mother and every man a father, in order to ensure the survival of our human species. 




Quite apart from whether, from a more over-arching perspective, it is cost effective and environmentally desirable for our species to continue to survive.

But so much for the 'species survival' reasons for having children. There are other reasons which us humans have for having children. Such as what we could call the personal, social and cultural ones.

Us humans, like other what I shall call higher level primates, are social be beings. 

Although we, or our ancestors were not consciously aware of the force which was compelling them to evolve in that way, we are probably genetically programmed and hardwired to come together. 

Like proton attracting neutrons and then sticking to each other like magnet, so are the majority of us humans.

   It is unlikely that things were ever getting better.   So, what are my thoughts about Hamas' unprecedented attack on parts of Israel, which has resulted in hundreds of men, women and children, some of them soldiers, being killed and thousands of Israelis becoming shocked and traumatised as they have probably never experienced before? So, if life were a bitch and then we die, need we say or do or think anymore of the matter?
