THE HUNGARIAN GRAND PRIX - MERCEDES-RED BULL BATTLE JOINED BY THE GODS, AS BOTTAS BECAME UNINTENTIONAL DESTROYER!! FINIS...

 

And so it was, on this occasion, that, although Lewis Hamilton might have profited from the Hungarian Grand Prix as he had done from the British Grand Prix. 

On this occasion it was not to be so, as both he and Team Mercedes, probably more the former than the latter.  

Failed to make the right call, by not taking the opportunity to pit during the the restart of the race, resulting in only Hamilton, rather dejectedly, being the only racer on the starting grid, as the race restarted. 

And thereby allowing Estaban Ocon to seize the opportunity of taking the lead and winning the race. Greatly aided and abetted by Fernando Alonso. 

Hamilton's former and probably still smarting competitor of years gone by. Who performed the ultimate spoiler's role, of keeping Hamilton behind him and his team mate in the lead.

Followed by the stalwart Sebastian Vettel, who, unbeknown to him at the time, was to have his P.2 position removed.  

Because of his and his team's purported infringement of a technical requirement pertaining to their car's minimum fuel at the end of the race. 

And so it was, that Hamilton was fated to move up a place from his P.3 position. Now followed by Carlos Sainz in P.3 and Alonso in P.4.

A Big Congratulations, therefore, to Estaban Ocon and Team Alpine, for winning the 2021 Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix, and to Lewis Hamilton and Team Mercedes, for making it P.2, and to Carlos Sainz and Team Ferrari, for making it P.3.

And commiserations to Vettel and Team Aston Martin, for having made it nearly to the top, only to have their P.2 position removed. Commisserations also, to all the intrepid racers whom fate has randomly  DNFed, even before they could get going.

There is a saying that there is no point shedding tears over spilt milk, and now is a time when, once they have gotten rid of the emotional bile in their psycho-social state. 

It is best for for the Intrepid Max Verstappen and Team Red Bull to just give the second half of the 2021 Formula 1 season the best they have got after their misfortunes. 

They should target what they now have the opportunity to gain, and not allow themselves to divert any of their energies to rueing or resenting what chances they have fatefully lost in past races.

Similarly, Hamilton, Bottas and Team Mercedes should not allow the resentment and demonisation of the 'haters' and 'the conspiracy theorists.'  

To deflect them from continuing to their efforts to gain as many of the outstanding Drivers and Constructors' points as they can win, in their endeavour to seize the 2021 Championship titles.

And thus do we all, with probably great expectation and anticipation, look forward to the battle of the 2021 Formula 1 championship being resumed at the end of the month. 

The  Championship battle is not decided until it is won.  

As nobody can know what fate has in story for any and all of the contenders, because the gods are not know for their tendency to confide in any of us humans, or the soothsayers, despite what the latter might claim.
