  Big Congratulations to Lewis Hamilton and Team Mercedes and Valtteri Bottas for making it to P.1 and P.2. In the first of the two Spanish Grand Prix scheduled for this Coronaviral 2020 Formula 1 Season.  In making it to Pole by virtue of having laid down what was to proved an unbeatable penultimate lap during Q3, Hamilton has followed his team mate's precedent in the qualifying session of an earlier Grand Prix he Poled this year. The lesson to be learnt from this event, in the Qualifying session of a Grand Prix, is that a driver, during any of the Q3 laps.  Should never become complacent and place all or even most of his - come the pleasing day when I will be able to have to add her, in as sentence like this - his reserve and hope for the last lap.  The standard for Q3 laps should, ought to be, to race all laps as if it was the last one.  Conversely, during the Grand Prix race, the guiding principle should be that you never race as if you are fated to lose. Weighing up both and making informed decisions about when compromises are required, and what compromises are likely to result in the greatest benefit to all the parties involved in the enterprise. At this most senior stage of my dear mother's life, this question of 'getting the right balance' is seeming to be more critical.  She functions alot, if not mostly, in the context of her perceptions, experiences and conclusions about the world, and her home being her universe.  She is showing a marked penchant for not being able to take other people's or the other's perceptions and views into account when there is a perceived difference between her views and theirs. The fact that her pots and pans get banged about, burnt during cooking and are scratched during washing, brings her great stress.  She cannot see how these things could happen, and it inflames her attitude and causes her great worry.  So much so that she continues to react in a manner which risk losing her care

The garden is one of our main focus and place of beauty and enjoyment during the Summer months, but much more so during the Coronavirally restricted lives we are having to live during 2020. So, do take a look and enjoy; if you will.

It would not have been the first time Hamilton had had such a misfortune, although it seemed somewhat longer than might have been the case.   But which is why, several laps before the end of the race, I found myself being tormented by visions of Hamilton's tyres disintegrating on him.  Of him getting so far but not making it to the end. It did not help when his team mate, Bottas, had one of his tires giving up the ghost and him falling back down the convoy.  It was a time for contemplating what might have been Hamilton's fate.  Fortunately for him and Team Mercedes and their fans, although he and his car was fated to loose most of their pace and time advantage.   Which was be enough to allow Verstappen The Intrepid to rapidly zoom in on Hamilton at the very end of the race to take P.2.   And contemplate how he could have overtaken his prey, providing his, Hamilton's tyre/s had not exploded first, if only he had another lap or half a lap to go.  On this day, it was not to be

According to a popular song, when the going or journey gets tough, the tough gets going.  So, ok, that might not be as obvious as it is meant to be. Which is that, as things gets tough or tougher, we are better able to see who are the toughest.   As it is they who will be able to dig deep into their more abundant reserve and keep going. And so it was for Lewis Hamilton and Team Mercedes, at Sunday's 2020 British Grand Prix at the Silverstone Circuit.   As we watched the battered, bruised and much degraded Black Arrow Car 44 limped upto the Checkered Flag and greeted it at the end of torrid last few laps of the race.  Yes, looking like a badly mauled mouse that had escaped from a ferocious battle with a large cat, was Car 44.  Or, finding a more fitting analogy, it would not have been amiss to say Lewis' car could be compared with how we would have expected a fright-shocked and bloodied Impala to look.   Having been lucky enough to escape from the jaws and claws of an hungry lio
