But, is it enough?  Can it ever be enough for men and women of the cloth of any theistic religious faiths.   To use the cultural imperative, the fact that 'we were born into our religious faiths, which is an important part of us', to explain away or mitigate their culpability, if they have mislead their flock?   Life, it could be said, is both a blessing and a curse. It is the fate of all contemplative primate to have experience of both the blessing and the curse that life, living is. So, what have I, in my decades of living, learnt about living? Let me begin by briefly explaining my concept and experience of this thing called 'life' , as I have so far lived it. So, for me, 'life' is that finite but limited extendable conscious space between the birth of a human and his/her death or transition from organic to inorganic matter. Experientially, life is for living, but how shall or should we live it? Because we, us humans, have come to believe that we have achieved and were living in 'the Age of Reason.'  That we have become rational and enlightened humans. That we would not 'destroy our world in order to save it.'  That pyrrhic act is not one which is popular amongst our species.  We believed that the time when the guardians of 'western democracy, liberalism and much vaunted  civilization' would terrify the people of the West with the then dreaded refrain - "the Russians are Coming", had long been put to rest for the past 3 or so decades.
