  On this momentous occasion of Lewis Hamilton, powered by Team Mercedes having achieved his record breaking 7th Formula 1 Drivers' World Championship. Some reflection is called for. People who are good at doing what they do at times cannot help projecting the resonance of making it look easy.  Even when it is not as easy as it might appear to those of us who are not initiated into the art of their craft, as they are.  And such is the case of Team Mercedes and the sofar inimitable Lewis Hamilton.  Those of us who are somewhat of an avid fan of Formula 1.  Will probably still remember the halcyon days, years that Sebastian Vettel and Team Red Bull had, in what now seems like the distant past.  Years when winning championship after championship seemed to come easily for them.  So much so that they accumulated no less than 4 Driver's Championships.  A period or epoch which saw Vettel's index finger became somewhat of a famous trademark.   As a result of the number of times he

  Islam probably suffers from the same kind of  'exceptionalism'  complex that I see Judaism as having evolved for itself.  Like Judaism, Islam has laid claim or wants to lay claim to  being God's favourite religion, and to be being his chosen people.  The orthodox Jews nob their heads towards their holy wall, and Muslims walk around the Kaaba and prostrate themselves in submission to Allah.  And, just as how the stereotypical Jewish people do or might see themselves as a race apart, a distinct ethnic group.   So has Islam evolved and develop in a way which seeks to set it apart from all other religions.  It is not only a way of life or living, but it sees itself as a distinct people.  Except that, here again, it cannot really compare with Jewish people, who are largely, mostly have a common ancestry.  Whereas Islam has only been able to boost its numbers by conquering and converting other nations and peoples into becoming Muslims.
