JUST PHILOSOPHISING ON - THE IMPOVERISHMENT OF BEING ONLY ABLE TO LIVE A 'ONE-DIMENSIONAL LIFE'! FINIS !!

Music can and does performs the role of being an accompaniment to many of the activities us humans perform in our daily lives.  Like a chosen wife for the appropriate menu, the right music can help to put us in the 'right mood' for love, for war, for contemplation, for feelings of pain or grief, for working fast or slow, and so on. Music can act like a drug on us. It can soothe our restless and anxious 'souls', or it can help us to 'snap' out of our melancholic mood.  And so it seems to me, that we are richer and healthier to be blessed to have access to different kinds of music, considering that no one genre is likely to be able to suffice our changing moods needs at any given time.  Whether it be for music which cheers us up, assist our need for reassurance, helps us to better contemplate our options, or navigate our sadness or sorrow. Probably even more profoundly, music, like language, can and does reflect the 'soul', the identity and culture of it

CANADIAN GRAND PRIX - VERSTAPPEN AND RED BULL TOPPED IT, AS TEAM MERCEDES THREATENS THE CHAMPIONSHIP LEADERS!

Max Verstappen is undoubtedly a Formula 1 racer of distinction, and one who is clearly fated to win another Drivers' World Championship, including the current one, barring any unforeseen developments during the second half of the season.  So his winning of the recent Canadian Grand Prix is not unexpected. Providing Team Red Bull continue to provide Max and Sergio with reliable cars, while their nearest competitors, Ferrari and Mercedes remain significantly off the pace.   The Red Bull duo can be predicted to have somewhat of an assured racing towards the Driers Championship. At the same time, the outcome of the Canadian Grand Prix, with Verstappen, Carlos Sainz and Hamilton taking the respective honours, suggest that the conclusion of the 2022 Season is likely to end somewhat differently from how it had started.  We have seen how Team Red Bull and Team Ferrari laid down the competitive markers, suggesting a likely two teams and 3 cars competition.  At the same time, we have seen

MAKING AN ISSUE OF IT - THE CAR INCIDENT.

It is the nature of our human psyche that we can do each other terrible harm by either verbally affronting them/us, and/or physically attacking members of our species.  Yes, we can also do terrible harm to ourselves by attacking, verbally and/or physically, our loved ones. Of course, being the oftentimes or normally rational beings that we, or most of us humans are, we do not normally automatically mete out retribution to others who offend or even physically attack us.  No, where we have some the opportunity to acquire some time to contemplate our response or reaction, we indulge in consideration of the probable reasons why the perpetrator of the offence had done what he/she has done to us or other victims.  Yes, we consider the probable motive/s; whether they intended the harm we perceive them to have done to us.  The principles of 'motive' and 'intent' are crucial in jurisprudence. We can see the first as helping us to evaluate and understand whether the wrong we pe

Again, Kazaliwa applied himself to his new tenancy with much determination, pride and commitment to making it his home.  Like his previous tenancy, this one was comprised of a room and a shared kitchen and shower and toilet. It also had the added luxury of having a washbasin in the bedroom.  Kaziliwa was fated to remain in this tenancy for probably 2 or so years. He was to take an added pride in establishing a good standard of management of his new home, having had a vision of how he wanted it to look.  It was transpire, as time went by, that the challenges of him maintaining his new home as he had started, would again defeat him somewhat.  Not least because of the difficulty in getting all the tenants in multi-occupied houses to exercise their collective responsibilities for maintaining proper standards of tidiness and cleanliness in the communal areas.  Such as keeping the corridors, shared kitchen, bathroom and toilet clean and reasonably tidy.  Even with Kazaliwa's best endea

JUST PHILOSOPHING ON : SOME OF WHAT I HAVE LEARNT FROM LIFE! PART 2.

So, what have I learned from observing life? Well, beginning with when I was a young child, what I have observed was that, for a child, the world is and/or can be a very frightening and fearful place.  Both in mind and on the physical level. Thus was the world full of duppies, rolling calves, spirits, demons. monsters of all kinds, depending on where in the world you happen to be born and grown up.  And then, as if that is not bad enough, according to the religion you are born prisoner to, you also have to ponder Hell and hell-fire or everlasting boredom and torture in Heaven, when you depart the world. I have learnt that, as a child, demons, monsters and frightening entities do really exist, and they do in every society and culture.  It does not matter that, when considered rationally, these frightening creatures are or might be mostly mental constructs which have been past on from generation to generation.  For young children living in external environments, in cultures which reinf

AZERBAIJAN GRAND PRIX - A BREATH OF FRESH AIR, AS RED BULL TOOK THE HONOURS AND TEAM MERCEDES MADE PAINFUL GAINS!!

So, after the Miami and Monaco grand prix, we, the fans and audiences of Formula 1 were blessed to have the opportunity to enjoy and exciting and classic grand prix at iconic Baku Circuit in Azerbaijan on Sunday 12th June 2022. Yes, once again, it was no surprise that that the two leading teams and their esteemed racers had again dominated Qualifying and the race.  Until, that was, Ferrari suffered another of their too frequent car unreliability problem which saw both of the cars failing to make it to the end of the race, being the ones to follow.  With Team Red Bull and their racers, Verstappen and Peres coming in at P.1 and P.2, and Team Mercede's Russell completing the Podium.   While Hamilton came in with a hard won and much deserved P.4. As well as, for the second consecutive grand prix, being voted 'Driver of the Race.' Having to contend with the body torturing car setup of their cars, and the still significant race pace disadvantage with Red Bull and Ferrari.  Russ

MONACO GRAND PRIX - A MATTER OF GOING THROUGH THE MOTION?

Image
So, what should I say about the Monaco Grand Prix of the 2022 Formula 1 Season?  Well, of course I could say a lot, even if much of what I would say, if honestly said, would be in the realm of a very boring and tedious grand prix.  Yes, having endured the Miami Grand Prix with its  rather dated and in your face Americanaesque atmosphere, well might Formula 1 fans have been looking forward to enjoying a real classic race at the Monaco Grand Prix.  That, at least, might have been the hope, the understandable expectation.  Because, although the MGP has the characteristic of being able to devolve into a very gruelling and tedious race.  It is also a circuit which is able to and has delivered exciting races. Unfortunately, however, this year's Monaco Grand Prix delivered nothing of the kind.  It was a most boring race which saw the racing cars going round and round, following the car in front and rarely having the opportunity to do any overtaking.  A situation which, along with the conf
